1. Result: The result of the calculation is displayed in the upper right part. Additionally the elemental composition is displayed.

2. Chemical Formula: A formula can be entered by tapping element buttons in the lower part of the screen (selected elements).

3. Tools provide functionalities to edit the formula, to enter parentheses and to add numerical suffixes.

4. Selected Elements: Elements that should be displayed to generate the formula can be selected via the element browser (bottom toolbar) or via the periodic system of elements (PSE, top toolbar)

1. Tools:

Enclosing marks: Tap the open or close parenthesis to add enclosing marks to the formula

Spacer: Tap to insert a space (point) for better readability

Enter Edit Mode: Tap to enable editing of the formula

Delete last item: Tap to delete last item

Delete all: Tap to clear all

Add numeric suffix: Tap the button to add a numeric suffix to an element or closed parenthesis (obligatory).

To switch between the slider a the NumPad tap the switch button.

To change the numeric suffix move the slider to the left or right. To change the minimum or maximum slider value tap the corresponding labels.

2. Bottom Toolbar:

Sort selected elements: Tap to sort by atomic weight or custom order. The custom can be defined in the element browser.

Element browser: Tap to select or arrange elements

1. Element Details: Details of the selected element are displayed

2. Element List: Elements are displayed in a list view

3. Bottom Toolbar:

View mode: The list of elements can be sorted by name or atomic number. All elements are displayed.
To select an element tap the switch button (select element).

View mode "Selection": Selected elements (elements which appear in the main interface) are displayed. To sort the elements tap the sort button (sort selected elements).

Done: To confirm the selection tap "Done". Tap outside the element browser to dismiss the selection.

4. Top Toolbar: Tap the left or right arrow to display the next or previous element.

To display the periodic table tap on "PSE" (top toolbar, right). In landscape mode the entire table will be displayed. In portrait mode only the main elements are visible.

1. Select Elements: Tap button to enable selection of elements. Currently selected elements are highlighted. To add or remove elements tap the corresponding element.

2. Done: Tap "Done" to dismiss the table and apply the selection.
